A new short song I’ve been writing. Heavily influenced by pop songs of the 50s and early 60s.

Just passed the arch. Urgency awaits.

Can’t believe I’m driving this far. Stuck on one highway.

My baby’s on the coast. I’m out here in the sticks.

She tells me she misses me so. My baby’s on the ten, but I’m on 66.

Away from the cities now. Headlights are on my side.

Seen enough Oklahoma cows. These towns can’t catch my eyes.

Once an hour she calls. Comforts me on this trip.

I tell her that I miss her so. My baby’s on the ten, but I’m on 66.
